We were honored to have Meg Stephens come visit our build today! For those of you who don’t know, Meg is the architect and designer of Tumbleweed’s Linden model tiny house RV (the model we are building). She is also the host and co-producer of the Tumbleweed How-To Video, which we found incredibly valuable. Lastly, she is building a Linden of her own! We met Meg briefly at last year’s Tumbleweed Workshop (before we decided to build our tiny house), so it was great to get to spend a little more time with her.
Meg was coming through Las Vegas with her husband, Dan, and reached out to us to see if she could come by and check out our build. Of course we were happy to oblige! We gave a brief tour and talked about our progress so far. We were pleased to know that where we had to make decisions based on our particular build, she felt we had done things correctly. That was a really big relief to know that we’re on the right track! We also talked about some architectural and engineering standards as they apply to trailers and tiny houses in general. She also looked over our Sketchup drawings and gave suggestions on how we might proceed with some of our design ideas – including an interesting way to do our siding that I’m really excited to start playing with. It was a really great conversation! We’re really grateful for the time she spent with us, and hope we can get our Lindens together at some point for a photo op!
